Job summary

The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) is seeking a dedicated Identity and Driver Credential Specialist 1 for our CDL Center. The role focuses on assisting customers with license and identity credential needs, processing applications, and facilitating examinations in a fast-paced public service setting.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a Georgia Class C driver’s license, and at least one year of face-to-face customer service with cash handling experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid Georgia Class C driver's license is required and must be maintained while employed in this position.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience within the last five years.
• At least one year of face-to-face experience with cash transactions including handling cash, daily reconciliation, and processing credit card payments within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Process applications, records and documents accurately.
• Accompany drivers in vehicles for commercial tests and non-commercial tests to evaluate adherence to Georgia driving laws.
• Conduct driving examinations for motorcycle and commercial licenses per state law.
• Operate visual testing equipment and collect payments by cash or credit cards.
