Job summary

OneWell Health Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on, person-centered support for individuals with IDD in home and community settings in Virginia. You will assist with daily living activities, safety, and ISP goals under supervision of the IDD Team Lead.

Travel to various homes and community locations may be required with flexible scheduling. The role emphasizes confidentiality, documentation, and adherence to HCBS waivers and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required (spoken and written).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: prior caregiving/home health/IDD support experience.
• Driver license may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, person-centered support to individuals with IDD, including daily living activities, mobility, safety, and ISP goal implementation.
• Support skill development, community participation, and transportation as needed.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment; monitor changes in condition; document accurately and timely.
• Follow safety, HIPAA, and program procedures; assist with trainings and team collaboration.
