Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) features 18-bed ICU with intensivists on site 24/7 and a comprehensive benefits package.

The role requires ACLS, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication. You will document care in the EHR, participate in quality initiatives, and support a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges in Illinois.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience is typical.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and demonstrates ethical decision-making.
• May float to other units as needed.
