Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our 12-bed ICU at Mount Pleasant. This full-time role includes three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with rotating weekends and holidays, and a 36-hour work week.

The ICU provides high-acuity care with nurse-to-patient ratio 1:2 and average daily census of 6. Ideal candidates have completed an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license, and current BLS; ACLS and NIHSS are preferred within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state where practice occurs.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and NIHSS recommended within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the care continuum.
