Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit. The role features a night shift (7pm–7am), 36 hours per week, and is a full-time position with an 18-bed ICU and on-site intensivists 24/7. ACLS/BLS required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in Illinois with privileges to practice in the state.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
