Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a professional nurse to join a full-time night-shift unit. You will lead daily operations, serve as a resource and clinical role model, and help advance patient care standards during a 3pm–11pm schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating care delivery, ensuring staffing adequacy, and mentoring colleagues through the Clinical Ladder program while supporting Magnet and Shared Governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• 3 years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Effective communication skills and partnership with patients and families.
• Knowledge of patient-centered practice and cultural awareness.
• RN license in state of practice (NJ/PA) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Heart Association certifications.

Responsibilities

• Act as resource, role model, and clinical leader for the patient care team.
• Evaluates patient needs and makes care recommendations based on those needs.
• Monitors staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing to meet patient care needs.
• Communicates with interprofessional teams to ensure quality patient care.
