Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. seeks a professional nurse to lead a unit, using the nursing process to meet diverse patient needs and to coach staff in safe, compassionate care. You will serve as a resource and clinical role model, advancing standards and coordinating care across the shift.

The role supports Magnet and Shared Governance, requires an active RN license with acute care experience, and involves a 40-hour week on a 3pm–11pm schedule at Jefferson Health.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• At least 3 years as an RN in an acute care setting.
• Effective communication and partnership with patients and families.
• Knowledge of patient-centered, culturally aware care.
• Understanding of care coordination, safety, and discharge planning.
• Familiar with clinical practice changes and governance structures.
• Current BLS and AHA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Acts as resource, role model, and clinical leader for the patient care team.
• Evaluates patient needs and makes care recommendations.
• Monitors staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
• Reporting to the Nurse Manager.
• Facilitates patient flow and coordination across the continuum of care.
