Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, PA seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to lead a unit during the 3pm–11pm shift. You will oversee daily operations, ensure staffing, and coordinate patient care delivery across the continuum.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, evaluating patient needs, and supporting Magnet and Shared Governance initiatives. Requires an accredited nursing diploma and an active RN license.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 3 years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Effective communication to engage patients and families.
• Knowledge of patient safety, discharge planning, and care coordination.
• Ability to document and follow established policies and procedures.
• Active RN license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource, role model, and clinical leader for the patient care team.
• Evaluates patient needs and makes care recommendations.
• Monitors staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing to meet patient care needs.
• Interacts with co-workers, patients, and families to provide safe, compassionate care.
• Supports nursing professional development and Magnet/Shared Governance participation.
