Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, PA seeks a Registered Nurse, Coordinator of Patient Care Services to lead daily operations of a unit, act as a clinical role model, and advance patient care standards across shifts.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will evaluate needs, coordinate care, monitor staffing, and support Magnet and Shared Governance initiatives; a strong focus on respectful, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma in nursing required.
• At least 3 years RN experience in acute care.
• Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of discharge planning, care coordination, and patient safety.
• Active RN license in state of practice (NJ/PA).

Responsibilities

• Acts as resource, role model, and clinical leader for the patient care team.
• Evaluates patient needs and makes care recommendations.
• Monitors staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
• Collaborates with the medical staff to ensure consistency of interdisciplinary plans of care.
• Provides timely schedules and payroll collaboration with Nurse Manager.
• Supports Magnet and Shared Governance through participation in councils and the Clinical Ladder program.
