Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Registered Nurse, Coordinator of Patient Care Services, to lead a unit, serve as a clinical resource, and advance patient care standards for the designated shift.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will ensure compassionate, safe, quality care for patients and families while managing and influencing clinical nursing practice and the environment in which care is provided.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma in Nursing is required.
• 3 years as an RN in an acute care setting.
• Effective communication and partnership with patients and families.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and cultural awareness.
• Discharge planning and care coordination knowledge.
• Basic life support certification.
• Active RN license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Acts as resource, role model, and clinical leader for the patient care team.
• Evaluates patient needs and makes care recommendations.
• Monitors staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing and meet care needs.
• Collaborates with Nurse Manager to evaluate and improve nursing practice.
• Supports Magnet and Shared Governance programs and staff development.
