Job summary

The Glass Jar is hiring an Ice Cream Scooper in Santa Cruz, CA to create a fun guest experience by scooping ice cream, building sundaes, and crafting milkshakes at The Penny Ice Creamery locations. You will also make coffee and tea drinks and toast marshmallow fluff for inspired treats.

THE PENNY ICE CREAMERY | Made From Scratch

The Penny Ice Creamery is the only ice cream shop in Santa Cruz that makes ice cream completely from scratch in house using locally sourced and organic ingredients. We make unique flavors like Ballpark Peanut Brittle and Raspberry Rose! We make timeless flavors like Birthday Cakeand Straight Up Strawberry, and our classics like Tahitian Vanilla Bean, Fresh Mint Chip, and Dark Chocolate.

As an Ice Cream Scooper, you will be creating a fun and memorable experience for our guests by scooping ice cream, making ice cream sundaes and milkshakes and various novelty items, making coffee and tea drinks (proudly serving Verve Coffee!), and of course, toasting our famous marshmallow fluff.

We operate four Penny Ice Creamery locations in Santa Cruz County:

Downtown Santa Cruz, Pleasure Point, Aptos Village, and Scotts Valley.

The Glass Jar which includes The Penny Ice Creamery and The Picnic Basket, was founded in Santa Cruz, CA in 2010 with a focus on made from scratch deliciousness, locally sourced ingredients and community.
