Job summary

The Glass Jar currently operates The Penny Ice Creamery and related concepts in Santa Clara. We are seeking friendly team members to scoop ice cream, prepare sundaes and milkshakes, and craft coffee and tea beverages for guests.

You will join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities to learn and advance, while contributing to a fun experience and high guest satisfaction. Training is provided and tips supplement earnings.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work alone/ unsupervised.
• Must have availability during the week, weekends and holidays on a reliable basis.
• Must be available to work 20 hours a week on a reliable basis.
• Preference will be given to individuals with experience in food service, although we will train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Scooping ice cream and making ice cream sundaes and milkshakes.
• Preparing coffee and tea drinks (Verve Coffee) and serving them to guests.
• Toasting marshmallow fluff as part of specialty items.
• Create a fun and memorable guest experience.
• Maintain clean and organized work station and food safety practices.
