Job summary

The Glass Jar is hiring an Ice Cream Scooper for The Penny Ice Creamery locations in Santa Clara County. You will scoop ice cream, build sundaes and milkshakes, and prepare coffee and tea beverages while toasting our famous marshmallow fluff.

We offer a starting wage of $18.70/hr plus tips, with opportunities for advancement, discounts at partner businesses, and a CalSavers retirement plan. A flexible schedule and paid hands-on training are provided.

THE PENNY ICE CREAMERY | Made From Scratch

As an Ice Cream Scooper, you will be creating a fun and memorable experience for our guests by scooping ice cream, making ice cream sundaes and milkshakes and various novelty items, making coffee and tea drinks (proudly serving Verve Coffee!), and of course, toasting our famous marshmallow fluff.

We operate two Penny Ice Creamery locations in Santa Clara County:

Town and Country Village and State Street Market.

Requirements

Requirements Include:

Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively communicate.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to work alone/ unsupervised.

Must have availability during the week, weekends and holidays on a reliable basis.

Must be available to work 20 hours a week on a reliable basis.

Preference will be given to individuals with experience in food service, although we will train the right person.

Tips (Approx. $6-$10 per hour in tips per employee!)
