Job summary

Cisco in San Jose, within the Common Hardware Group, seeks an experienced leader to drive high-speed package design programs from planning to tapeout for global networks. This role focuses on reliable, scalable solutions for Cisco Silicon One initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with layout, SI/PI, silicon architecture and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality package designs, while shaping methodologies and development flows across Cisco’s silicon organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 12+ years of work experience.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience leading complex hardware or silicon development programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex package design programs from concept to tapeout.
• Optimize package pinouts, stackups, power distribution, and high-speed routing.
• Collaborate with silicon floor planning, SI/PI teams to ensure design quality.
• Mentor engineers and grow package design capability within the team.
• Coordinate resources across designers, layout editors, and contractors to support project execution.
