Job summary

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide maintenance and support for construction, plant facilities, and field operations.

The role covers repairing, installing, and troubleshooting SCADA, PLC/DCS, and associated control systems across liquid facilities and pipelines. You will read schematics, comply with safety regulations, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience with motor controls, relays, RTU/I&E devices.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook/Word).
• Experience troubleshooting control solutions (Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, DeltaV).
• Extensive knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs/DCS and field instrumentation.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Document testing and maintenance per regulatory requirements.
• Respond to call-outs and emergencies as needed.
• Mentor less experienced staff and supervise third-party work.
