Job summary

Energy Transfer seeks an instrument and electrical technician to support construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on control systems, SCADA, PLCs/DCS, and related equipment across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

You will work with high standards of safety and regulatory compliance, including DOT and OSHA requirements, and may mentor junior staff while coordinating with contractors and operations teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Experience with control systems and instrumentation software.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, plant, pipeline, and compressor instruments.
• Read manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to support maintenance tasks.
• Test, calibrate, and document safety devices per DOT/PSM requirements.
• Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).
• Provide mentoring and oversee third-party contractors where needed.
