Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide technical support across construction, plant facilities and field operations in Orange, TX. You will repair, install and maintain SCADA, PLC/DCS, and related equipment at gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role involves reading schematics, performing calibrations, following DOT/DOT standards and participating in safety programs. On-call rotation and occasional travel are possible.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with control systems, SCADA, PLCs or DCS is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook/Word) and ability to read electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, instrument and electrical equipment in plants, pipelines and compressor stations.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and motor control systems.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics and ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Test and document control devices per relevant regulations and keep maintenance tasks current.
• Provide on-call support and mentoring to less experienced staff.
