Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in a hybrid role, based in the United States. You will contribute to the design of process control systems for new power plants and modifications to existing facilities, with duties including development of P&IDs, I/O lists, and control narratives.

• :BS or MS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a strong background in analog and digital control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design process control systems and prepare procurement specifications for I&C equipment and installation services.
• Develop P&IDs, I/O lists, control panel designs, cause & effect matrices, and network architecture.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and Design Reviews.
• Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and field verification as needed.
• Mentoring and on-the-job training to enhance engineering knowledge.
