Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Energy & Industrial Group. You will design and specify instrumentation and controls for power plants, work on new build projects and plant upgrades, and coordinate electrical design with a multidisciplinary team.

You will mentor colleagues through technical sessions and on-the-job training while participating in occasional travel for reviews and field verification.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; emphasis in power systems preferred.
• PE license or ability to earn one.
• 9+ years in power plant and heavy industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design instrumentation and controls equipment specifications and installation services for power plants.
• Collaborate on project teams for new plants and modifications to existing facilities and plant controls.
• Coordinate design and electrical control narratives, plus generate engineering calculations.
• Mentor teammates through technical sessions and on-the-job training to grow expertise.
• Occasional travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
