Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seekingInstrumentation and Controls Engineers to join our team and contribute to the design of new power plants, modify existing facilities, and enhance plant controls. The role includes creating P&IDs, I/O lists, control panels, and network architectures with opportunities for travel to client sites and vendor offices.

You will collaborate on process control system design, develop procurement specifications, and participate in Process Hazard Analysis and Design Reviews,

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required
• Ability to apply I&C engineering principles to project design deliverables
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel and Access
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Resourceful and enthusiastic attitude

Responsibilities

• Utilize and expand your academic background in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering
• Work on project teams designing power plants and oil/gas facilities
• Support design of process control systems and procurement specifications for I&C equipment
• Develop P&IDs, I/O lists, control panels, and related documents
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and Design Reviews
• May travel to client/vendor offices or plant sites for reviews and field verification
• Engage in mentoring sessions and training to grow your engineering skills
• Advance career through S&L’s Communities of Practice and peer-learning
