Job summary

AccruePartners is seeking a detail-oriented HR compliance professional to lead an I-9 project. You will own reviewing and completing approximately 100 outstanding I-9 records for current employees, coordinating with staff nationwide for documentation, and ensuring eligibility requirements are met.

You'll partner with the HR Manager and CFO, work in a largely remote environment with about one day per week onsite in Charlotte, and drive the project to 100% compliance by year-end, delivering

Qualifications

• Hands-on I-9 and E-Verify experience in onboarding or compliance.
• Strong understanding of I-9 requirements and documentation.
• Excellent communication with employees and deadline-driven.
• Highly organized with ability to manage high-volume projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
• Ownership mindset and ability to drive cross-functional tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own the review and completion of approximately 100 outstanding I-9 records for current employees.
• Communicate directly with employees across the country to collect documentation and complete outstanding requirements.
• Review employee populations to identify gaps and ensure no records are missed. Apply I-9 and employment eligibility requirements accurately and consistently.
• Document appropriate updates for current and former employees and maintain clean, audit-ready records.
• Partner closely with the HR Manager throughout the project while independently driving day-to-day execution.
• Complete a final audit of the population with the goal of reaching 100% compliance by year-end.
