Job summary

Everpure is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for its Hyperscale Systems group in Santa Clara, CA. You will lead a high-performing team focused on low-level systems software, Linux kernel development, and new hardware platform enablement for next-generation flash storage systems.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and collaborate with Product, Hardware, and Firmware to deliver production-ready software with low latency and strong reliability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of direct software engineering management experience leading low-level systems, kernel, or embedded teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering with deep expertise in C/C++ or low-level systems languages.
• Strong expertise in Linux kernel internals, device drivers, block design, memory layout/NUMA, high-performance I/O.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and retain a high-performing software team with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Drive execution across low-level systems architecture, kernel driver development, DMA/PCIe, memory management, and I/O path orchestration.
• Guide development of low-overhead systems software in C/C++ with focus on low-latency and flash storage optimization.
• Partner with Product, Hardware, and Firmware to translate PRDs into platform capabilities, including hardware enablement and bring-up.
• Foster practices around design reviews, code metrics, kernel performance profiling, HW-in-the-loop testing, and zero-regression deployments.
• Create an environment of accountability, urgency, and psychological safety for engineers to grow.
