Allianceanimalhealth is seeking a hybrid Veterinary Assistant and Client Service Representative. The role splits duties weekly between clinical support and front-desk CSR tasks.

You will greet clients, schedule, process payments and support veterinarians with patient care, exams, and education. Ideal candidates bring veterinary hospital exposure, excellent communication, calm empathy, and comfort with practice software and online prescriptions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization and customer service skills.
• Calm, compassionate approach with clients and coworkers.
• Comfort with computers and practice software; DaySmart experience is a plus.
• Basic veterinary terminology, vaccine and preventive care knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and patients; answer calls, messages and questions with professionalism and empathy.
• Schedule appointments, check patients in and out, process payments and maintain records.
• Help triage client concerns and communicate with the medical team.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area.
• Offer discreet support during stressful situations.
• Run exam rooms, obtain patient histories, assist veterinarians.
• Coordinate and support patient care with veterinary team.
• Assist clients with online pharmacy requests and prescription questions.
• Provide client education on preventive care and home-care instructions.
• Assist with triage, sample collection and laboratory processing.
• Support patient nursing care and hospitalization monitoring.
• Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring and recovery.
