North Haledon Veterinary Care in North Haledon, NJ is seeking a Client Service Representative / Veterinary Assistant to join our full‑time team. This hybrid role splits time between front desk duties and assisting doctors with patient care.

You’ll welcome clients, schedule, process payments, and help maintain medical records while also assisting during exams, handling animals safely, and supporting hospital workflow with compassion and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary front desk experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with animals and clients.
• Ability to multitask and switch between front desk and clinical duties.
• Dependable, adaptable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and patients and create a positive experience from check-in to check-out.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with client questions.
• Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient information.
• Assist with prescription refill requests and client communications.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners.
• Help maintain an organized and efficient front desk.
• Assist doctors and technicians during appointments, exams, and treatments.
• Obtain patient histories and help prepare patients for examinations.
• Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats.
• Assist with sample collection, laboratory work, and diagnostic procedures.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Assist with medications, vaccines, and treatments based on hospital protocols.
• Support patient care and hospital workflow throughout the day.
