Job summary

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking a Benefits Services Manager to lead a team of service officers, helping veterans obtain DoD and VBA benefits. You will oversee day-to-day operations, provide coaching, budgeting, and collaborate with VA staff and community partners.

Candidates should have VA accreditation, five years of veterans benefits advocacy, and three years of leadership experience. The role offers a flexible hybrid schedule and opportunities to train staff and advance

Qualifications

• Five years of veterans benefits advocacy experience as a VA accredited service officer.
• Leading and managing teams to deliver benefits services.
• Strong knowledge of VA and DoD benefits law and procedures.
• Ability to present information to large audiences and diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage a service officer team of local and remote staff to identify veteran benefits and assist with claims.
• Lead the benefits services team and advocate for veterans with VA/DoD claims.
• Maintain an active caseload and provide performance feedback to teammates.
• Train and develop staff to maintain VA accreditation and high service standards.
• Manage budgets and participate in required leadership trainings.
