Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in Insurance/Underwriting
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4+ years' experience in Insurance/Underwriting
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ years of experience in Insurance/Underwriting
• Knowledge of the insurance industry and the regulatory environment

Responsibilities

• Accountable for ensuring teams meet key operational performance goals.
• Assess underwriting processes to implement standards, controls and procedures.
• Follow up with producers about status of new business and renewals.
• Perform customer service and account management responsibilities.
• Participate in key account relationships in person or via teleconference.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and development conversations.
• Lead and develop UA Associates and staff through mentoring.
• Build underwriting skills and cross-train for multiple workflows.
• Lead team huddles and cross-business relationships.
• Assist onboarding of Underwriting staff and act as SME for improvements.
