Job summary

Zurich E&S is seeking an experienced UA Manager to lead the Casualty Wholesale team in a hybrid Atlanta/NYC/Scottsdale/Rocky Hill office. The role requires in-office presence three days per week with travel to UA Associates locations as needed.

You will supervise 7-10 direct reports, drive performance against key metrics, and mentor staff to deliver superior broker and customer experiences while advancing underwriting disciplines across multiple workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4+ years in Insurance/Underwriting/Market Facing
• Zurich-Certified Apprentice with 4+ years in Insurance/Underwriting/Market Facing
• High School Diploma with 6+ years in Insurance/Underwriting/Market Facing and regulatory knowledge

Responsibilities

• Ensure teams meet key operational performance goals.
• Assess and evaluate underwriting processes to implement standards, controls, and procedures.
• Follow up with producers about new business, renewals, and actions.
• Provide customer service and account management, including billing and policy questions.
• Participate in key account relationships with Underwriters.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and development plans for staff.
• Make staffing decisions and mentor staff to deliver client service.
• Build underwriting skills through cross-training and process improvements.
• Lead team huddles and cross-functional collaboration.
• Onboard and train Underwriting Assistants and Underwriters.
