Amentum in Livonia, Michigan is seeking a Hybrid Test Engineer to join our Technical Support Services Group. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and directing test systems for Hybrid Electric Vehicles and Transmission and Driveline DV requirements, partnering with engineers and vendors to support testing across milestones.

Responsibilities include developing DV test processes, procuring test equipment, analyzing fault codes with ATI/ETAS, and guiding Test Technicians.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
• Strong MS Office suite and Excel-VB macro development.
• Excellent leadership, communications and interpersonal skills; Ability to function as part of a team and work cooperatively toward team goals.
• Qualified candidates will work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent problem solving and creativity, and be able to quickly evaluate new information and make appropriate decisions.
• Ability to develop & deliver business cases and presentations, project documentation to be delivered to upper management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Transmission/Drivetrain Design Verification (DV) testing processes
• Develop, procure, and install new test equipment systems to support DV requirements
• Operating ATI/ETAS systems and analyzing fault codes/data
• Providing direction to Test Technicians for DV testing and translating test requirements into manuals
• Leading test site troubleshooting efforts and refining DV test methods
• Managing test data QC and delivering analyses to customers.
