Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Axle and Transmission Development Laboratory (ATDL) Test Engineer in Michigan to design, deliver, and direct test systems for HEV and transmission DV requirements. You will work with engineers, vendors, and technicians to develop testing methods and processes and to ensure milestones are met.

The role includes procuring and installing DV test equipment, analyzing fault codes and calibration data, and leading DV testing activities while coordinating with D&R engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
• Strong MS Office suite and Excel-VB macro development.
• Excellent leadership, communications and interpersonal skills; Ability to function as part of a team and work cooperatively toward team goals.
• Ability to develop & deliver business cases and presentations, project documentation to be delivered to upper management.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and direct test systems to satisfy DV requirements for HEV and TDE.
• Develop, procure, and install new test equipment to support DV.
• Lead test site troubleshooting and assist technicians during testing.
• Translate test requirements into manuals and procedures.
• Manage test data QC and delivery to customers.
