Amentum in Livonia, MI is seeking a Transmission Lab Test Engineer to design, implement, and manage DV testing for Hybrid Electric Vehicles and driveline systems. You will collaborate with engineers and vendors to deliver robust test solutions and drive process improvements.

You will lead test activities, assess data, and develop manuals and methodologies to meet milestones. Strong engineering knowledge and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with strong analytical skills.
• Experience applying DV testing methods for HEV and driveline systems.
• Proven ability to manage test programs and communicate results clearly.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, ETAS CAN, and data acquisition tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transmission/drivetrain DV testing processes.
• Procure, install, and maintain new test equipment for DV.
• Operate ATI/ETAS systems and analyze fault codes.
• Analyze transmission calibration data and generate actionable insights.
• Lead technicians, translate test requests into manuals, and troubleshoot tests.
• Develop automated, unmanned testing workflows and capital equipment projects.
