Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Hybrid Test Engineer in Livonia, MI to join our Technical Support Services Group. You will design, deliver, and direct test systems to satisfy Hybrid Electric Vehicle and transmission design verification requirements, working closely with engineers and equipment vendors.

The role emphasizes developing DV testing processes, procuring equipment, and leading test-site activities. Candidates should have a strong engineering background and hands-on testing experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
• Strong MS Office suite and Excel-VB macro development skills.
• Excellent leadership, communications, and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Transmission/Drivetrain DV testing processes.
• Develop, procure, and install new test equipment to support DV.
• Operate ATI/ETAS systems; extract fault codes and analyze data files.
• Direct Test Technicians; translate test requests into manuals; lead troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with D-R engineers to refine DV test methods.
• Manage test data QC and assist customers with data delivery and analysis.
