Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking an Associate Intern to join the Grid business unit. You will assist senior engineers on transmission and distribution projects, applying Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering knowledge to design and analyze systems.

This role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two remote, and starts in summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience with engineering calculations, reporting, and supplier documentation while developing practical

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a BS or MS in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with strong academics.
• Candidates with other engineering degrees may be considered if they have relevant coursework.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to identify issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Track and evaluate project activities and progress for reporting.
• Prepare documents and specifications for procurement of major equipment and installation services.
