Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Telecom Section Manager to lead telecommunications scope on data center projects across the United States. You will provide design leadership for structured cabling, telecom room design, and inside/outside plant work, coordinating with SME leads, project managers, and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years leading telecommunications cabling designs.
• Minimum 2 years managing a small team.
• RCDD credential.
• Experience in data center construction.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 for telecom cabling.
• Familiar with Revit, Navisworks, Revizto.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Experience responding to RFPs.
• Experience budgeting and scheduling projects.
• Experience identifying and mitigating risk.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead teams across multiple projects and clients.
• Forecast projects and staff resources.
• Budget resources for several projects.
• Guide and mentor project leads through design phases.
• Review DIV 27 specs and coordinate modifications.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Communicate with department manager and telecom leads to meet deadlines.
