Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecom Section Manager to lead telecom scope on data center projects across the U.S. You will design and direct teams handling structured cabling, telecom room design, and inside/outside plant work.

Expect multi-project responsibility, with emphasis on schedule, budget, and client coordination. Ideal candidates bring RCDD credentials, 4+ years in telecom design leadership, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience leading telecom designs for structured cabling.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a small team.
• Credential as an RCDD.
• Experience with data center construction and ANSI/TIA, BICSI.
• Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks and Revizto.
• Self-motivated to coordinate with other disciplines and clients.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and assign leads across projects and clients.
• Forecast and staff resources for multiple projects.
• Budget resources for multiple projects.
• Guide and mentor project leads through design.
• Review DIV 27 specs and modifications.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with department manager and telecom leads to meet deadlines.
