Job summary

IMCD Group is seeking a Technical Account Manager to be a client-facing expert ensuring customers effectively use complex products to meet business goals. You will serve as a trusted advisor for technical support, proactive problem-solving, training, and growth through strategic guidance.

The role covers a hybrid work environment with travel up to 50% in the East Region, including Central Indiana, Central Ohio, and Southern West Virginia. A Bachelor’s degree and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related technical degree.
• Strong technical aptitude for relevant products/industry and ability to translate complex information to non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with solid communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for existing core accounts in designated territory and identify growth targets.
• Conduct frequent planned visits with key customers to drive adoption and satisfaction.
• Provide deep technical support, troubleshoot issues, and guide product implementation and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for upsell/cross-sell and align technology with business goals.
• Support sales efforts by highlighting features and driving customer value.
• Relay customer feedback to development teams to improve products.
