Job summary

IMCD Group in the United States seeks a Technical Account Manager for the Beauty & Personal Care segment, covering Southeast/Midwest customers. You will serve as a trusted advisor, delivering technical guidance, product knowledge, and proactive problem solving to drive retention and growth.

The role requires travel up to 50% and a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office collaboration with remote support.

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor’s degree required with a preferred area of study in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical degree.
• Experience Minimum 2 years’ sales, technical, lab, customer support, or inside sales experience.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong technical aptitude in relevant products/industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences. Problem solving and analytical skills. Relationship management and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in particular). Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the main point of contact for existing core accounts in a designated territory and identifies new targets for growth.
• Conduct frequent planned visits, interacting on a recurrent basis with key customers.
• Provides deep technical support, troubleshoots issues, and guides clients on product implementation, configuration, and best practices.
• Proactively identify opportunities for clients to gain more value, suggest upgrades, and align technology with business objectives.
• Support sales efforts by highlighting features, driving adoption, and identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Act as a conduit for customer feedback, relaying insights to development teams to improve products.
• Educate clients on effective product usage, often through dedicated training sessions.
• GROW earnings per designated sales goals
