Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Tech Support Specialist II to join our Reston, VA team in a hybrid role. The position focuses on deploying new computers, refurbishing and redeploying equipment, and providing desktop support to users.

The role requires solid knowledge of PC hardware, software, and networking, with the ability to independently resolve hardware break-fix issues and assist with end-to-end upgrade projects including client interviews, evaluations, configurations, and user acceptance testing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PC hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot desktop user problems independently.
• Experience resolving hardware break-fix issues and application questions for third-party products.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new computers to customers; evaluate, refurbish, and redeploy computers.
• Troubleshoot user problems at the desktop and resolve hardware/software/network issues.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to resolve issues for client proprietary applications.
• Assist Project Managers with destination moves and hardware/software upgrades across interviews, evaluations, requirements, configuration, UAT, and on-site support.
