Job summary

Communities In Schools National Office is seeking an experienced Technology Specialist to support a secure, reliable environment for staff and contractors. This hybrid role requires two onsite days weekly in Arlington, VA, with additional in-office days as needed.

The ideal candidate will independently manage IT support, onboarding/offboarding, and project coordination; excel in problem-solving, customer service, and clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• CompTIA A+ and MCP certifications.
• 6+ years of help desk or technology support experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and networks.
• Experience using ticketing and service management systems.
• Experience supporting Zoom, Monday.com, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and prioritization skills.
• Customer-focused and empathetic approach to providing high-quality technology support.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality technology support, owning issues through resolution.
• Manage support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems; troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and applications.
• Diagnose and guide users through technical problems; verify resolution.
• Prioritize incidents based on impact; document tickets and escalate security issues as needed.
• Install, configure, maintain, and audit hardware/software; coordinate updates and patches.
• Onboard and offboard employees and contractors, manage access and devices.
• Coordinate technology projects, maintain plans, documentation and communications.
