Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Substation Engineer to apply and expand your engineering background within a team designing new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.

You will prepare procurement specifications for major electrical power equipment and related installation services, and there is potential for travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and site coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering with relevant coursework.
• Understanding of practical application of electrical engineering to project design.
• Ability to visualize 3D parts without CAD aid.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design of high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
• Prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and site coordination.
