Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to apply and grow electric power engineering knowledge on HV and EHV substations and transmission systems. You will collaborate on project teams and contribute to equipment procurement specifications and installation services.
The role supports a hybrid work arrangement (three days in the office, two remote) with potential relocation support depending on location, and travel for design reviews or site coordination may occur.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree with strong preference in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering; coursework including Coding, 3D Modeling/Design, and AI experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on project teams with engineers designing new HV and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
- Involved in power transmission designs and preparation of specifications for major electrical equipment procurement and related installation services.
- May travel to client/vendor offices for design reviews and to sites for construction coordination and field verification.
