Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a Substation Engineer 2 to join a project team responsible for detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substations. You will participate in conceptualization, planning, and execution with a focus on delivering client-ready reports and drawings.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (three days in office, two remote) and may include travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace/Chemical engineering or related field
• ABET-accredited program preferred; BSEE preferred
• 1+ years experience in power or electric utility industry
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Experience reviewing design drawings
• Proficiency with MS Office

Responsibilities

• Participate in project conceptualization, planning, and execution
• Assist with troubleshooting and solving electrical engineering issues
• Prepare technical and project reports in client formats (S&L)
• Collaborate through Communities of Practice
• May travel to client sites as needed
