Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer to join a project team dedicated to high voltage substations. You will participate in conception, planning, and execution, addressing complex electrical design challenges and communicating results to clients in aligned formats.

The role supports a hybrid work setup with three days in the office and two remote days, with relocation assistance available depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree required.
• 3+ years experience in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking project information such as schedules and expenditures against budgets, preparing status reports and client interface.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Support assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that present technical and project information clearly to meet client requirements.
• Develop career via peer-learning through shared knowledge within our Communities of Practice.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
