IMEG in Manhattan, NY is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to lead design efforts for structural systems in buildings. You will manage mid-scale projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver code-compliant, innovative solutions.

The role emphasizes client communication, budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional teamwork, with up to 15% travel and a full-time hybrid work arrangement in New York.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 5+ years in building design consulting industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design for structural systems meeting codes and IMEG standards.
• Gather client requirements and communicate technical information to build relationships.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress against scope and budget.
• Collaborate with senior staff to develop practical, efficient solutions.
• Perform in-process design reviews and apply quality-control processes.
• Stay current on structural engineering trends and innovations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Identify and escalate potential project risks to the Project Manager.
• Oversee projects from conception through construction including submittals and site observations.
