Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in New York, NY (Manhattan office) to lead large and complex mechanical-system projects for the vertical building sector. You will guide design, analysis, and implementation while mentoring team members and coordinating with clients and cross-functional teams.

You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and high-performance, energy-efficient designs aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Mastery of design techniques for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection)
• Strong analytical skills in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and client communication abilities
• Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, and drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff
• Coordinate with clients, architects, and PMs to ensure project milestones
