Job summary

IMEG Corp. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer in Manhattan, NY to lead design efforts for structural systems in buildings and other structures. You will manage low to moderate complexity projects, mentor teammates, and collaborate with senior staff on larger engagements.

You will coordinate with engineers and consultants, support project planning and budgeting, and ensure work meets IMEG standards and codes while advancing sustainable design goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required
• 5 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the building design consulting industry

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design efforts for structural systems, using engineering software and tools to develop designs, specifications, and calculations that meet code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Gather client requirements, communicate technical information, and build client relationships through professional communication.
• Support consulting-project execution through project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities that meet deadlines and objectives.
• Document client design decisions and instructions, and monitor design progress against percent complete and fee expended.
• Analyze engineering problems and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical, efficient solutions.
• Oversee projects from conception through construction, including designs, construction documents, submittals, requests for information, and job site observations.
• Prioritize safety and conduct work in an ethical and professional manner
