Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to support a multi-disciplinary design team focused on power generation projects. The role emphasizes hands-on experience with heavy industrial structures and collaboration across disciplines.

Candidates should have a solid foundation in structural design, familiarity with IBC/ASCE/ACI/ACI code requirements, and be willing to travel to project sites. Remote/hybrid work options are available within Energy offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of relevant heavy industrial and/or power generation experience preferred.
• EIT or PE license is a plus.
• Experience with design/building codes such as AISC, IBC, ACI 318, ASCE 7.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design under supervision of licensed engineers.
• Provide engineering support for multi-discipline design projects from scope to construction.
• Evaluate and apply building and design codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC).
• Travel to project sites and meetings as needed.
• Use 3D analytical models and other software to solve structural problems.
• Assist with drawings and documents production; develop specs, plans and details.
