Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing challenging engineering tasks in power generation. The role offers remote work flexibility and/or placement at various Energy offices across the United States.

The candidate should have strong civil/structural design, fabrication, and construction understanding, with leadership capabilities to manage technical teams as the Structural Lead in responsible charge.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering design, fabrication, and construction processes.
• Experience supervising and leading a technical team for structural projects.
• Ability to deliver calculations, drawings, and specifications for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Nuclear Technical Lead and Department Manager with strategic resourcing initiatives.
• Supervise and lead a team of structural engineers through their development.
• Serve as Structural Lead/Engineering of Record on projects, ensuring deliverables meet requirements.
• Lead improvements in standards/templates and evaluate software tools.
• Develop task lists with hours and schedules for business development.
• Collaborate across disciplines on equipment layouts, site plans, and retrofits.
• Provide technical input for risk assessments and due diligence.
• Oversee full project life cycle from feasibility to commissioning.
• Direct development of structural calculations, specifications and drawings.
