Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to support energy projects, focusing on heavy industrial and power generation. The role offers hybrid work and opportunities to work on design and analysis across multiple locations in the United States.

The candidate will engage in structural steel and reinforced concrete design, code compliance, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Required: civil/structural degree and 2+ years of experience; EIT/PE preferred; proficiency with STAAD Pro,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
2+ years of heavy industrial and/or power generation experience.
EIT or PE license preferred.
Experience with structural steel design and reinforced concrete design.
Familiarity with building codes such as AISC, ACI 318, IBC, and ASCE 7.
Proficient with STAAD.Pro and AutoCAD; MS Office.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering analyses and design under supervision of licensed engineers.
Provide engineering support for multi-discipline design projects from scope to construction.
Evaluate and apply building code requirements (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC).
Travel to project sites and meetings as needed.
Use computer software to create 3D structural models and drawings.
Develop technical specifications, plans, and details.
