Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to support multi-disciplinary design for power generation projects. The role emphasizes solid structural engineering fundamentals and hands-on involvement with heavy industrial and energy-related works.

Candidates should have a Civil or Structural Engineering degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with EIT/PE preferred. This hybrid role offers remote flexibility and site travel across US offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 2+ years of heavy industrial and/or power generation experience.
• Preferred: +4 years of experience and an EIT or PE license.
• Demonstrated experience with structural steel and reinforced concrete design.
• Familiarity with design/building codes (AISC, ACI 318, IBC, ASCE 7).
• Proficient with structural analysis software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design under supervision of licensed engineers.
• Provide engineering support for multi-discipline projects from scope development to construction.
• Evaluate and apply building and design code requirements (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC).
• Travel to project sites and meetings as needed.
• Use software tools to solve structural engineering problems, including 3D analytical models.
• Assist with production of drawings and documents.
• Develop technical specifications, plans, and details.
