Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing challenging power generation tasks. This role includes leading the structural discipline, ensuring deliverables, and coordinating with nuclear and energy sectors across the US.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering design
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to manage technical teams and lead projects

Responsibilities

• Support Nuclear Technical Lead and Department Manager with resourcing initiatives
• Supervise and lead a team of structural engineers through development and growth
• Serve as Structural Lead/Engineering of Record on projects and ensure deliverables
• Lead improvements in standards/templates and evaluate software/tools
• Develop task lists with hours and schedules to support business development
• Collaborate across disciplines on equipment layouts, site plans and specs
• Provide technical input for risk assessments and due diligence studies
• Guide projects through feasibility, design, bid, construction, start-up and commissioning
• Develop structural calculations, specs and drawings with senior leadership
